Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, July 4) — The fate of the Quezon City prosecutor who went viral for allegedly threatening a rider using a firearm is now up to the Prosecution Integrity Board.
On Tuesday, Department of Justice (DOJ) spokesperson Mico Clavano said a show cause order has been issued to the prosecutor, who has since submitted his explanation.
The incident has raised serious questions about the conduct and professionalism of public official entrusted with upholding the law,” Clavano noted. The prosecutor has also filed a complaint with the DOJ but no details have been given yet.Let it be known that the department does not condone any violent behavior of this sort and we will definitely look into this serious allegation,” said Clavano.
