Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, June 20) — Customs agents in the Philippines confiscated millions of counterfeit Nike footwear as well as apparel, estimated to be worth ₱1.56 billion.
In a statement on Tuesday, the Bureau of Customs said it received recognition from the Nike Asia Pacific Brand Protection Team following its massive crackdown against replica footwear products.
In joint operations, authorities were able to seize about 2.2 million pairs of counterfeit Nike shoes.

The BOC, however, did not mention the period and the place where it conducted the operations.
