
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, May 14) — The Philippines claimed two more gold medals at the 32nd Southeast Asian Games after Carlo Paalam and Paul Bascon dominated the boxing rings on Sunday.
Boxing Olympian Paalam defeated Indonesia’s Aldoms Suguro via unanimous decision in the men’s 54kg division, while Bascon prevailed over Thai Rujakran Juntrong in the 60kg division.
Norlan Petecio, the younger brother of Olympian Nesthy Petecio, settled for a silver medal after bowing down to Thai Bunjong Sinsiri in the 67kg division.
