Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, May 5) — The Philippine National Police (PNP) wants to cut its crime response time to just three minutes within Metro Manila, its chief Benjamin Acorda said Friday.
\”If we can do that in the whole area of Metro Manila na kapag may nangyaring insidente andiyan kaagad ang pulis [that police respond immediately when there are crimes] then I think yung crime prevention lalong mapapaigting [will further improve],\” Acorda said.
The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) recently unveiled its Integrated Command Control Center or ICCC.
The facility has systems and technology that allow the QCPD to achieve the three-minute response time or 3MRT.
Acorda said other police districts in the Metro Manila should adopt the ICCC.
The PNP chief also called for more police visibility in areas with high crime rates.
