Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, April 25) — There will be no special vaccination sites for second COVID-19 booster shots, the Department of Health (DOH) said Tuesday.
“Ang ating mga vaccination sites (for the second booster) ay yung mga health centers din ng ating mga local government. Hindi na tayo mag tatayo ulit ng special vaccination sites,” DOH officer-in-charge Maria Rosario Vergeire told reporters.
[Translation: Our vaccination sites for the second booster are the health centers of the local government. We will not set up special vaccination sites.]
“Gusto na natin ma-integrate ang COVID-19 vaccination doon sa ating mga regular na programa para mas malapit sa ating komunidad,” she added.
[Translation: We want to integrate the COVID-19 vaccination into our regular program so it will be closer to our communities.]
Vergeire also said the agency will release the number of people who took the second booster shot by the end of the week.
