Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, April 25)— Family, colleagues, and supporters paid their last respects as former Foreign Affairs Secretary Albert del Rosario — who successfully led the Philippines’ arbitration case in the sea row with China — was laid to rest on Tuesday.
During the funeral mass held at the Santuario de San Antonio in Makati City, Del Rosario’s daughter Inge thanked all those who worked with her father and believed in his advocacy.
“They faithfully serve; the man who faithfully served the country,” Inge said in her speech.
She also expressed gratitude to those who shared their stories about her father.
“Thank you, to all of you have visited our Papa’s wake, thank you to all of those who wrote and posted tributes on how he had inspired you,” she said.
