Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, April 13) — Tropical Depression Amang has so far left over ₱12 million worth of damage to the agriculture sector, the Department of Agriculture (DA) said Thursday.

Citing initial data from its regional field office in Bicol, the DA reported losses in rice, high value crops, and livestock amounting to ₱ 12.34 million — which are seen to affect over 1,000 farmers.

Thousands of hectares of agricultural lands in Camarines Sur and Sorsogon were also affected, the DA added.
