Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, March 30) — The Philippine National Police-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group arrested the Bangsamoro region police chief for syndicated estafa charges.
According to the police report, Brig. Gen. John Guyguyon was arrested around 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday at his headquarters at Camp Brigadier General Salipada K. Pendatun in Parang, Maguindanao del Norte.
The arrest warrants were issued by the Regional Trial Court Branches 91 and 104 in Quezon City. Both warrants do not recommend bail.
