
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, March 14) — A total of 983 new COVID-19 cases were recorded from March 6 to 12, the Department of Health (DOH) said Tuesday.
Its weekly bulletin showed the daily average number of cases last week was 140, reflecting an 8% increase from the week prior.
Health officials also verified 58 deaths due to COVID-19.
Of the new cases, one was in critical condition. Meanwhile, 351 critical infections are in hospitals, representing 9.2% of the total COVID-19 admissions in the country.
The DOH COVID-19 bulletin was posted a day later than scheduled.As of March 13, the nationwide COVID-19 tally stood at over 4.07 million with 9,128 active cases. At least 4 million individuals have also recovered while more than 66,000 succumbed to the disease.Around 78 million people, or 100.43% of the target population, have been vaccinated against COVID-19, while over 23 million have already received their booster shots.
