
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, February 23) — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has declared Friday, Feb. 24, a special non-working day.
Proclamation No. 167 — approved by Marcos on Thursday — aims to “enable our countrymen to avail of the benefits of a longer weekend” ahead of the anniversary of the EDSA People Power Revolution on Saturday, Feb. 25.
\”The celebration of EDSA People Power Revolution Anniversary may be moved from 25 February 2023 to 24 February 2023, provided that the historical significance of the EDSA People Power Revolution Anniversary is maintained,\” the document read.
