Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, February 10) — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Friday invited top investors in Japan to grow their businesses in the Philippines, as he pitched the country’s economic gains, policies, and development agenda.

Speaking at the Philippine Business Opportunities Forum on the third day of his Tokyo trip, Marcos highlighted the Philippines’ \”strong\” macroeconomic profile, as well as its \”remarkable\” recovery from the COVID-19 crisis.

\”With the efforts we have made towards maintaining a sound macroeconomic profile, providing business-enabling policies and investing in big-ticket infrastructure projects, I hope we are sending the clear message that the Philippines is open for business and that the Philippines means business,\” Marcos told the executives during the event.

\”I invite all of you to continue and enhance that partnership. When you think growth, think Philippines,\” he added.

The president, in particular, promoted the country’s gross domestic product growth, job creation strategies, the recently-signed Philippine Development Plan, and other fiscal programs.
