Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, January 13) — A pageant expert is seeing a bright future for the country’s bet Celeste Cortesi as the Miss Universe 2022 nears its coronation night.

In an interview with CNN Philippines, pageant expert Adam Genato was asked if he sees Cortesi securing a spot in the top 5.
‘
“Oo, kasi masipag si Celeste mag-train sa Q and A,” Genato said “Sabi nga nung mga kasamahan ko ditong nagko-cover meron s’yang (The people I’m covering here with say she has an) iPad full of information about all these hard-hitting topics that she and her trainers have been preparing for, so every time she has a break or free time she makes time to check on them.”

Aside from her effortless beauty, Cortesi’s experience from her previous pageants and her improved communications skills made her “such a formidable candidate,” Genato also added.

“She is really effortless when it comes to showcasing herself in the swimsuit and evening gown segments of the competition and once she’s given the chance to speak during the top five segment of the competition then there is really a chance (for her to take home the crown),” he said.
‘
If there are candidates Cortesi should watch out for, the expert said they would be the Latina beauty queens from Venezuela, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Curacao, as well as the United States.
‘
Only the top 5, then the top 3 candidates will go through the question-and-answer segments during the coronation night for the 71st Miss Universe on Jan. 15, 9 a.m., Philippine time.
