LIST: Class suspensions on Jan. 6 due to bad weather

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, January 6) — Several local government units suspended classes on Friday due to two weather systems dumping rains over parts of the country.

The following areas have so far cancelled classes for all levels in both public and private schools:

Bustos

City of Malolos

Doña Remedios Trinidad

Hagonoy

Marilao (elementary to high school)

Norzagaray

San Ildefonso

Sta. Maria (pre-school up to senior high school)

NUEVA ECIJA

Municipality of Rizal

LAGUNA

Calamba City

Famy (including government work)

– Paete

Santa Maria

– Siniloan

RIZAL

Taytay

PALAWAN

Brooke’s Point

ORIENTAL MINDORO

– Municipality of Baco

PANGASINAN

Municipality of Mangatarem (pre-school to high school)

TARLAC

– Municipality of Conception

In its latest regional forecast, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the shear line is currently affecting the eastern part of southern Luzon and the Visayas, while the northeast monsoon or amihan is dumping rains over the rest of Luzon.
