Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, January 2) — Cebu Pacific airlines assured its travellers that normal flight operations will begin by Tuesday, Jan. 3, after the glitch that disrupted air traffic control on New Year’s Day.

Cebu Pacific President and Chief Commercial Officer Xander Lao on Monday said no further flight cancellations related to the technical issues at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) are expected.

“It looks like tomorrow, Jan. 3, operations for Cebu Pacific are expected to normalize,“ Lao told CNN Philippines’ The Final Word.

“We do not expect any further cancellations related to the glitch that had happened on the first day starting tomorrow,” he added.

According to Lao, at least 330 canceled flights were recorded since operations were halted due to issues affecting the air traffic control system at the NAIA on Jan. 1.

Despite this assurance, Lao still urged the airline’s travellers to double check their flight status.
