Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, March 3) — Law enforcers arrested a big-time drug dealer and seized 60 kilos of suspected shabu worth ₱414 million in a buy-bust operation in Bulacan province on Wednesday.
In a statement, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) said suspect Jalon Laureta, who is from Bacoor, Cavite, was involved in the bulk distribution of illegal drugs in Metro Manila and nearby provinces in Central Luzon.
The entrapment operation was conducted around 10:00 a.m. at Km 23 along NLEX, Barangay Lias in Marilao. PDEA agents found suspected shabu in Chinese tea bags. Authorities also confiscated a unit of Toyota Altis Champagne XPS 112, an android phone, a black Nokia basic phone, a yellow Nokia basic analog phone, and identification cards from the suspect.
Laureta will face charges for possession and sale of illegal drugs.
