Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, November 11) — Trade Secretary Ramon Lopez on Thursday urged customers to come forward if they observe that restaurant employees are not checking for proof of vaccination before allowing them to dine in.
He said the establishments will be audited by authorities to ensure they follow safety protocols.
“Kapag sinabi ng customer na vaccinated ako pero hindi hinanap ang card, that is grounds to tell us, the authorities, the LGUs, na ang restaurant ay hindi sumusunod doon sa requirement,” he said during the Laging Handa briefing. “Ang requirement maghahanap ng proof of vaccination.”

Customers are only allowed to dine indoors if they have completed their COVID-19 vaccination.
Lopez reminded establishments to assign a full-time safety officer to ensure customers and workers are following the minimum public health standards, such as proper wearing of masks and physical distancing.
