CCP’s Simbang Gabi goes digital

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, December 12) — The Cultural Center of the Philippines said on Friday it will be holding its annual Simbang Gabi via digital platforms due to the coronavirus crisis.

The CCP said in a statement there will be anticipated masses from December 15 to 23, beginning at 9 p.m. The dawn masses, meanwhile, will be from December 16 to 24, every 5 a.m.

The Christmas Day mass on December 25 at 10 a.m. will be celebrated by Cardinal Luis Tagle from Rome, Italy.

These mass celebrations will be streamed on the CCP’s official Facebook and Youtube channels, and it will also be aired on CNN Philippines TV channel.

The Simbang Gabi or Misa de Gallo is a series of nine dawn masses on the days leading up to Christmas.
