PBA: Barangay Ginebra re-activates Greg Slaughter

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, June 6) — Gregzilla is inching closer to a return to the hardcourt.

Barangay Ginebra placed center Greg Slaughter into their active roster ahead of their Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Commissioner’s Cup quarterfinals clash with GlobalPort on Tuesday.

According to the PBA, Slaughter’s eligibility is effective immediately.

With Slaughter activated, big man Jericho De Guzman was moved into their injured/reserved list.

The former Ateneo standout has not played in the PBA since suffering an ACL injury in September 2016.

As of writing, Ginebra have yet to release a statement regarding their roster move.

Ginebra ended the elimination round of the 2017 Commissioner’s Cup with a 9-2 slate, and holds the top seed going into the playoffs.

The Barangay will bank on their twice-to-beat advantage when they take on GlobalPort in the quarterfinals.
