Metro Manila (CNN Philippines) — After a slow start with the Star Hotshots following a blockbuster trade, Paul Lee has finally hit his stride to earn the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Press Corps Player of the Week nod.
Lee was on the mark from beyond the arc on Wednesday as Star beat down the NLEX Road Warriors, 99-75.
The former Elasto Painter shined for 20 points, knocking down four triples and dishing out seven assists against his former coach, Yeng Guiao.
Just three days later, Lee slotted in with 18 points as Star steamrolled the Phoenix Fuel Masters, 123-79, at the Mall of Asia Arena.
Through the week, Lee posted game averages of 19 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 4.0 assists.
The Star guard will look to continue his good run of form when the Hotshots tackle the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters on Sunday at the Araneta Coliseum.
The contest will be the first time Lee will faceoff against his former ball club.
