Metro Manila (CNN Philippines) — Twenty years after the release of the first Toy Story movie, Woody is about to find love.
Disney Chief Creative Officer John Lasseter took the stage during Pixar’s portion of the animation panel at the D23 Expo to talk more about the highly anticipated animated film Toy Story 4.
Lasseter, who directed the first two Toy Story movies, also introduced himself as the director for the upcoming sequel.

According to the director, the latest installment will revolve around the love story between Woody and Bo Peep.

Bo Peep appeared in the first two films of the franchise, but was notably absent in the latest effort, presumably sold off to different owners like other characters in the film.
Since its debut in 1995, the critically acclaimed Toy Story franchise has become the fourth highest-grossing animated franchise in the world, trailing only Shrek, Ice Age, and Madagascar.
