Far Eastern University, meanwhile, clashes with Ateneo de Manila University at 4 p.m on the same day.
The 78th season of the UAAP will officially commence on the previous day, September 5, at the SMART-Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.
Host school University of the Philippines is set to tackle University of the East in the curtain raiser of the men’s seniors basketball tournament.
Game time is slated at 2 p.m following the opening rites to be staged at 1 p.m.
