Tagbilaran City (CNN Philippines) – Bohol provincial employees, both regular and contractual, would be punished should they be found using illegal drugs through random drug tests.
Regular employees who test positive for illegal drug use will be subjected to legal action, while casual employees will no longer have their contracts renewed.
Bohol Gov. Edgar Chatto issued this warning on Monday (July 20) during the monthly convocation of the Capitol hosted by the Provincial Health Office.
Nobody, he said, would be exempted from random drug tests, nor would anyone be allowed to have their tests rescheduled.
The governor commended the Provincial Health Office (PHO) for establishing the Bohol Drug Testing Laboratory that facilitated for the provincial capitol to take the lead in the random drug testing campaign.
