Typhoon Falcon enters Philippine territory

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines) – As of 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday (July 7), Typhoon Falcon, internationally known as Chan-Hom, has entered Philippine territory, according to the 11:00 p.m. bulletin issued by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

It was spotted at 1,400 km east of Aparri, Cagayan, packing maximum sustained winds of 130 kph near the center with a gustiness of 160 kph.

No storm signal warnings have been issued so far.

Moving at 20 kph west-northwest, Falcon is predicted follow the following track:

Wednesday evening: 965 km east of Itbayat, Batanes

Thursday evening: 625 km northeast of Itbayat

Friday evening: 695 km north of Itbaya, or outside of Philippine territory

Meanwhile, Tropical Storm Egay, internationally known as Linfa, though already out Philippine territory enhanced the southwest monsoon which brought heavy rainfall, starting at around 10:00 p.m. of Tuesday (July 7), in Metro Manila, Bataan, Rizal, Cavite, and Batangas.

At around midnight, however, PAGASA lifted its heavy rainfall warning.
