PH Navy preps all units for Dodong impact

The Philippine Navy is gearing up for assistance and disaster relief missions as Typhoon Dodong nears.

(CNN Philippines) – All Philippine Navy units are ready and all prepped to carry out emergency missions in anticipation of Typhoon Dodong’s expected landfall in Cagayan area Sunday afternoon (May 10).

Latest weather forecast from PAGASA said Typhoon Dodong (international name: Noul) has accelerated and grown stronger as it moves closer to Santa Ana, Cagayan.

Dodong is expected to make landfall in the said area by Sunday afternoon or evening.

According to Navy officials, all of its available units are prepared to carry out humanitarian assistance and disaster relief (HADR) missions should it be required.

“All PN units nationwide are preparing to render HADR operations, especially our disaster response relief operation teams,” said PN public affairs office chief Cmdr. Lued Lincuna.
