May is special because it’s my birthday month! This month, I'm excited to share some tasty new treats I've discovered, fun gifts I've treated myself to, and a TikTok creator whose content never fails to make me smile.

As the month keeps on rolling, here are my five must-see May favorites:

1. A Limited Summer Treat: Starbucks’ Salted Caramel Butter Pecan Piaya

Starbucks consistently changes its menu depending on the season. For example, during the Christmas holidays, a Peppermint Mocha and a Red Velvet Whoopie Pie always hit the spot. Their latest addition for the summer is the Salted Caramel Butter Pecan Piaya, a delightful twist on the traditional Filipino snack. Filled with irresistibly gooey salted caramel and crunchy pecan bits, it's simply delicious. It's supposed to be on the menu only until the end of the month, so enjoy it while it lasts!

2. Cute and Personalized Giveaways: PAUwer Prints

M\y brother hired PAUwer Prints for personalized giveaways at my nephew’s birthday party. Originally intended for the kids, these customizable bags and shirts proved equally popular among adults (myself included!) I grabbed a couple of tote bags that I got to personalize using the stickers provided. Personalized party giveaways are always a hit, and PAUwer Prints made this party extra memorable.

3. Eco-Friendly Buds: Skullcandy EcoBuds

On my hunt for new Bluetooth earbuds, I stumbled upon Skullcandy’s EcoBuds. Skullcandy is known for stylish and high-quality audio gear, and these earbuds stood out for their environmental friendliness. EcoBuds are described by Skullcandy as designed to minimize environmental impact without sacrificing sound quality, aesthetics, or fun. They’re also budget-friendly and produced with a 50% smaller carbon footprint compared to other brands.

4. Your New TikTok Obsession: Becca Bloom

Scrolling through TikTok recently, this lady came on my For You page talking about using caviar as a seasoning as she plates her breakfast. Becca, a wealthy Asian American who initially joined TikTok just to share videos of her cat, quickly became my latest obsession. She's smart, hilarious, endearing, and provides an entertaining glimpse into the luxurious lifestyle of the 1%. When I first discovered her, she had tens of thousands of followers—now she's amassed over 3 million followers in just a month.

5. A Colorful New Exhibition: Amorsolo: Chroma

The Ayala Museum recently launched a new interactive exhibit called Amorsolo: Chroma, which mainly features Fernando Amorsolo’s stunning paintings of Philippine landscapes and people. The museum is aiming to reintroduce the country’s first ever National Artist to a new generation, highlighting the painter’s great use of light and color. The museum also added a section dedicated to helping people with color vision deficiency or colorblindness, and a paint-by-color wall that encourages visitors to add their own mark to Amorsolo’s works. The exhibit runs until September 7, 2025.

So these are the things I've been enjoying this May! I hope the elections didn't cause too much stress and that you're also finding ways to savor the rest of the month. Wondering what June will bring?
