At PULSE, we love sharing our latest finds—whether it’s a great piece of advice, a must-visit restaurant, or a new movie worth watching. But this time, I get to do something even more exciting: share my personal top five picks for the month—things I’ve tried, tested, and can’t stop raving about.
As part of our Gift Guide section, this new series will feature a mix of fashion, gadgets, entertainment, and everyday essentials that I’m currently obsessed with. If you’re looking for cool new things to try, you’re in the right place.
From skincare to video games, here are five things I really enjoyed this past month that is worth your time and money:
1. Uniqlo x JW Anderson Spring/Summer 2025 Collection
Lately, I’ve been refreshing my wardrobe with quality, comfortable basics that I can wear to work or casual outings. I wanted something easy to mix and match without compromising on style—and Uniqlo’s latest collab with JW Anderson delivers. This collection blends modern minimalism with preppy British style, and I have to say, it’s one of my favorites so far. My personal top picks? Some of my favorites from the collection include the Dry Pique Polo Shirts, the Oversized Full Zip Hoodie, the Drawstring Bag, and the Socks.
2. Some By Mi Clear Spot Patch
I don’t know about you, but I always keep a pack of pimple patches in my toiletry kit. After trying several brands, Some By Mi’s Clear Spot Patch has become my go-to.
These Korean-made patches stick really well, are water-resistant, and work fast to reduce redness and inflammation. What I love most is that they’re near-invisible—seriously, I’ve worn them out, and no one has ever noticed. If you’re looking for something effective and discreet, I highly recommend these.
Over the holidays, I had the chance to travel with GALA luggage, a new brand in the Philippine market, and I have to say—it completely won me over.True to its name (“Gala” means “wander” in Filipino), this suitcase is designed for modern travelers like me. It’s stylish yet durable, has a dedicated laptop pocket, and even comes with a built-in power bank compartment—which is an absolute lifesaver when you’re on the go.
Another thing I love? While high-end luggage can cost a fortune, GALA offers premium quality at a more budget-friendly price. If you travel frequently, this is definitely worth considering
I know, I know—the streaming space is already crowded. But hear me out: Lionsgate Play is an underrated gem, and I genuinely think more people should check it out.
I originally subscribed for their exclusive awards show coverage (this year, they’re streaming the Golden Globes, BAFTAs, and Critics’ Choice Awards), but I ended up loving their library. They have fan-favorite films (The Hunger Games series), top-tier TV shows (Sherlock), and modern classics (Inside Llewyn Davis). If you’re a film or TV buff like me, this platform might just surprise you.
As a longtime gamer and Marvel fan, I couldn’t resist trying Marvel Rivals when it launched in December 2024—and I’m completely hooked.
If you’ve played Apex Legends or Overwatch, you’ll feel right at home with this fast-paced 6v6 shooter. The big difference? You get to play as iconic Marvel characters. I’ve had a blast flying around as Iron Man, tanking damage as Groot, and protecting teammates as Invisible Woman.
The best part? It’s free-to-play. Whether you love competitive games or just want to team up with friends as your favorite Marvel heroes, this one’s worth checking out.
