Emma Tiglao is Miss Grand Philippines 2025
Metro Manila, Philippines - Kapampangan beauty queen Emma Tiglao is Miss Grand Philippines 2025, out of 29 hopefuls in a pageant on Sunday evening, Aug. 24, at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
Tiglao succeeded Christine Juliane “CJ” Opiaza, who replaced India’s Rachel Gupta after she resigned as the 2024 winner.
During the question and answer segment, the 30-year-old Tiglao was asked: “If peace could be packaged like a product, how would you convince world leaders to buy it?”
Her answer: “I would convince world leaders to see it as a quality, not as quantity. What I mean is that the quality of us having constant dialogue with each other. It’s not about the quantity or the time we need to prepare or we need to talk with each other but it’s the constant dialogue. Because if we do that, we will eradicate disparities in opportunities that we can get. And also, we cannot grow the division between people in terms of politics, in terms of power, and in terms of properties. So, I hope they will look [at] it in quality instead of quantity of time.”
Margarette Briton of Bicol was first runner-up, while Beatriz Angela Ocampo of Rizal province was second runner-up.
Other winners were:
+ Anita Rose Gomez of Zambales as Miss Asia Pacific International
+ Francesca Beatriz McLelland of Aklan as Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas
+ Nikki Buenafe of Quezon City as Face of Beauty International Philippines
+ Michelle Arceo of Taguig City as Tourism World.
Tiglao will vie for the country’s second crown during the 13th edition of the Miss Grand International pageant on Oct. 18 in Bangkok, Thailand.
