‘Quezon’ to hit theaters Oct. 15
Metro Manila, Philippines - Historical biopic film “Quezon” will have its local theatrical premiere on Oct. 15, TBA Studios announced Friday, July 4.
Along with the announcement was the release of the official poster, where Jericho Rosales, who plays late President Manuel L. Quezon, was seen in a fierce portrait.
The poster also featured the line “I am the Philippines,” which was widely attributed to Quezon.
“Quezon” concludes TBA Studios’ “Bayaniverse” trilogy, following “Heneral Luna” in 2015 and “Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral” in 2018.
The film’s production officially ended on June 10. Jerrold Tarog returned as director.
Cast members included Benjamin Alves as the younger Quezon, Mon Confiado as Emilio Aguinaldo, and “Game of Thrones” alum and Scottish actor Iain Glen as the American Governor-General Leonard Wood.
TBA Studios has yet to announce the movie’s international release.
