Metro Manila, Philippines - Memphis Grizzlies high-flying guard Ja Morant is set to visit the Philippines for the first time on August 2 as part of the "Make Them Watch" tour for a lifestyle brand.

Morant will be spending time with local hoopers in Manila, including high school players who will be invited to a special workout session.

“I’m excited to pull up and share a piece of my journey with the next generation of hoopers around the world, and I also want to check how basketball is played in their own communities,” Morant said in a statement.

Morant will kick off the tour in Augusta, Georgia on July 18, where he will attend the Nike Peach Jam, the brand’s premier Elite Youth Basketball League tournament.

He will then fly to New York on July 22 to attend Nike’s annual NY vs NY tournament.

Morant will be hosting clinics and training from July 25 to 30 in China before going to Japan on July 31.

Morant averaged 23.2 points, 7.3 assists, and 4.1 rebounds in 50 games that he played for the Grizzlies last season. Memphis was swept by eventual champions Oklahoma City Thunder in the first round of the NBA Playoffs.
