Metro Manila, Philippines - US pay TV service HBO has casted Alohomora, opening a door for a new journey to Hogwarts, as it announced that the “Harry Potter” television adaptation will debut in 2027.

The statement came Monday, July 14, with the announcement that the highly anticipated series has begun production at the Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden in the United Kingdom.

“The series will debut in 2027 on HBO and HBO Max where it’s available, including in upcoming launch markets Germany, Italy, and the UK,” HBO said in a news release. It did not provide a release date.

The media company released a photo of child actor Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter.

HBO also announced Monday that other cast members are Rory Wilmot as Neville Longbottom, Amos Kitson as Dudley Dursley, Louise Brealey as Madam Rolanda Hooch, and Anton Lesser as Garrick Ollivander.

After having over 30,000 auditionees worldwide, HBO in May said the new magic trio will be McLaughlin, Arabella Stanton as Hermione, and Alastair Stout as Ron.

HBO previously said it will have a “faithful adaptation” to J.K. Rowling’s seven-part novel series, which centered on Harry’s life, and his fight with Hermione and Ron against the dark wizard Lord Voldemort. The series is expected to span a decade.

The magical-themed books have produced one of the highest-grossing media franchises, which put Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint into fame.
