PNR Calamba-Lucena trips resume on July 14
Metro Manila, Philippines - Trips from Calamba, Laguna to Lucena, Quezon and vice versa via the Philippine National Railways (PNR) will resume on July 14 after train repairs.
Passengers can ride and alight at the following stations:
+ Lucena
+ San Pablo
+ Calamba
+ Sariaya
+ Lutucan
+ Candelaria
+ Tiaong (Lalig)
+ IRRI, College
+ Los Baños
+ Masili
+ Pansol
“Ang pagbabalik ng biyahe sa ruta ay bilang tugon sa utos na Pangulo (Ferdinand Marcos Jr.) na siguraduhing ligtas at maayos ang byahe ng mga komyuter na gumagamit ng PNR,” the railways said in a statement.
[Translation: The resumption of the routes is in response to the president’s order to ensure safe and smooth trips for commuters using the PNR.]
Fare will range from P15 to P105.
Discounts will be granted to students, persons with disabilities, and senior citizens with a valid identification card. Their fares will be from P12 to P84.
The PNR suspended the Lucena-Calamba-Lucena route last June 17 for train repairs to ensure its engines and its parts are in good condition. The railway management also continued maintenance works of the tracks, embankments, and bridges.
