Fuel prices likely to go up next week - DOE
Metro Manila, Philippines - Motorists may expect a fresh uptick in fuel prices next week, the Department of Energy (DOE) said in its forecast on Friday, July 11.
In its forecast, the agency said gasoline prices may increase by up to P0.50 per liter.
Diesel and kerosene, meanwhile, may both go up by at least P1 per liter.
The potential increase will be the first round of hike for the month.
The DOE attributed its projection due to the expected fewer oil production in the United States and the renewed Houthi attacks on shipping vessels in the Red Sea.
