P10 billion worth of illegal drugs seized off Zambales
Metro Manila, Philippines - The Philippine Navy seized P10 billion worth of illegal drugs off the coast of Zambales on Friday, June 20.
The recent confiscation of 1.5 tons of methamphetamine hydrochloride, locally called shabu, is one of the Navy’s largest illegal drug hauls, the agency said.
The confiscated illegal drugs will be documented at the Naval Operating Base in Subic and will then be turned over to authorities.
“The case build up and subsequent successful apprehension was a joint operation between NLNC (Northern Luzon Naval Command) and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency,” the Navy said.
