Motorists traversing a major thoroughfare in Metro Manila (MMDA)

Metro Manila, Philippines - The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) launched on Monday, June 16, a platform to check possible violations under an automated traffic management policy.

The web-based platform, called “May Huli Ka 2.0,” also acts as an appeal site for the No Contact Apprehension Policy (NCAP), where motorists can contest apprehensions.

The platform has instructions on what to do to settle a penalty.

A motorist may enter the website by inputting the license plate or conduction sticker number and their motor vehicle (MV) file number. Only plate numbers were entered in the previous platform.

“The inclusion of the MV file number is an added security and protection so that only the vehicle owners can securely check their violations under NCAP,” MMDA Chairman Romando Artes explained.

The chairman said the website will still be improved. Among the features that may be included in the next rollout are presentation of photo and video of violation, information on corresponding fines, and hearing schedules.

Meanwhile, a real-time notification system through text message and email will be launched, the MMDA said.
