NewsWatch Plus, DWIZ-Aliw Channel 23, BusinessMirror join forces for Eleksyon 2025 coverage
Metro Manila, Philippines - NewsWatch Plus is teaming up with DWIZ-Aliw Channel 23 and BusinessMirror for its first-ever election coverage, promising on-demand, credible, and fast-paced reporting across platforms for the midterm elections on May 12.
The collaboration groups major media forces in radio, television, print, and digital, to make sure people receive real-time updates from Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao baginnning at 5 AM on election day.
Coverage begins early, with regular updates from reporters deployed on the ground. Special programming includes Vote Watch Live at 9 a.m. and 12 p.m,. and a NewsWatch Now special edition airing from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
NewsWatch Plus builds from the strength of its predecessor, CNN Philippines, continuing the legacy of delivering news and stories that are accurate, fair, and balanced.
With a combined digital following of more than nine million, NewsWatch Plus has become one of the country’s fastest-growing online news brands.

The partnership aims to mobilize multi-platform reporters across the country, maximizing both traditional and digital platforms to deliver clear, consistent, and contextual election coverage to the Filipino public.

Joining the partnership is BusinessMirror, one of the country’s top business newspapers founded in 2005 by the late businessman Antonio Cabangon-Chua. It has since expanded its reach through its digital platform and tabloid counterpart Pilipino Mirror, which uses a mix of Filipino and English.
