Dolly de Leon, Jon Jon Briones join Netflix’s ‘Avatar’ cast

Metro Manila, Philippines - Filipino veteran actors Dolly de Leon and Jon Jon Briones are cast in the upcoming seasons of Netflix’s hit live-action adaptation of “Avatar: The Last Airbender.”

The show unveiled its new additions to the Season 2 and 3 cast on Wednesday, May 21, on its social media pages.

De Leon will be playing two characters in the roles of identical twins Lo and Li, two elderly advisers of the show’s Fire Nation Princess Azula.

Meanwhile, Briones is cast as Piandao, the former Fire Nation army official who turned into a high-ranking member of the Order of the White Lotus.

The series is an adaptation of the Nickelodeon animated series that ran from 2005 to 2008. Netflix’s award-winning live-action version of the series premiered in February 2024.

Season 2 is set to release early 2026.
