Metro Manila, Philippines - The De La Salle University Green Archers will be one man down in their second round clash against the Ateneo de Manila University Blue Eagles in the UAAP Season 88 men's basketball tournament.

Vhoris Marasigan was slapped by the UAAP Season 88 Basketball Commissioner's Office following a disqualifying foul he committed during the Green Archers' match against the National University Bulldogs on Nov. 2 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

Marasigan threw a closed left fist to the abdomen of Bulldogs big man Omar John in an inbound play at the 4:52 mark of the second period, resulting in his disqualification from the game.

La Salle may file a motion for reconsideration regarding the suspension.

The Green Archers will battle the Blue Eagles on Nov. 9 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.
