Metro Manila, Philippines – EJAE, one of the singers in the animated film “KPop Demon Hunters,” will drop a new single on Oct. 24.

EJAE, the singing voice of HUNTR/X’s Rumi, revealed in a letter that she wrote songs that “never found the right home” and thought her upcoming single “In Another World” would be the perfect place to start.

“Writing this song helped me through a hard time. I hope that sharing it can help others too,” she said.

EJAE is a songwriter who has composed songs for K-pop groups, including Red Velvet’s “Psycho” and aespa’s “Drama.”

She also said that she became comfortable being behind the scenes as a songwriter, noting that she did not think she was meant to be an artist.

“Recently though, I realized I don’t need to box myself into being the traditional view of an artist,” she said on Instagram.

The singer also said that writing became a form of therapy and “making sense of the noise in her head.”

She also feels humbled and grateful for all that she has received as the voice of the main protagonist of the film, thanking all her supporters.

“KPop Demon Hunters” was released last June and has become the most viewed Netflix movie of all time.

EJAE, along with other singing voices for the HUNTR/X trio Audrey Nuna and Rei Ami, recently appeared in a Saturday Night Live skit with Bad Bunny. They are also set to debut their first live performance as a group in The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
