SB19, Cup of Joe win at inaugural Filipino Music Awards

Metro Manila, Philippines - P-pop powerhouse SB19 and pop-rock band Cup of Joe led the list of winners at the inaugural Filipino Music Awards 2025, an event to honor excellence in Original Pilipino Music (OPM).

Held at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City on Tuesday, Oct. 21, SB19 was named Artist of the Year, while the group’s “Simula at Wakas” world tour won both Tour of the Year and Concert of the Year, cementing the group’s reign as the kings of P-pop.

Meanwhile, Cup of Joe dominated the musical categories, namely, Song of the Year for “Multo” and Album of the Year for “Silakbo,” which rounded up the evening’s grand awards.

Hosted by Joey Mead King, the event gathered top OPM acts and industry figures, featuring 12 world-class performances including Ely Buendia, Apl.de.Ap, BINI, and SB19.

The Filipino Music Awards celebrates OPM and recognizes artists across genres from pop-rock to hip-hop and R&B.
