Metro Manila, Philippines - At least seven people were reported dead while two were missing due to Tropical Storm Fengshen – called “Ramil” while inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) – government data showed on Monday, Oct. 20.

The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said the five fatalities came from Calabarzon and two were from western Visayas.

The two missing, meanwhile, were from eastern Visayas.

An injury was also logged in Calabarzon.

“Ramil” has affected 37,825 families.

Roxas City in Capiz has declared a state of calamity after the devastation of the weather disturbance. This means the local government may tap its quick response fund and a price freeze on basic commodities will be implemented.

“Ramil” left PAR on Monday morning.
