11th International Search and Rescue Conference & Exhibition 2025 set to convene global SAR experts in Cebu City

The 11th edition of the International Search and Rescue (ISAR) Conference & Exhibition, which will happen on Aug. 5-7, will bring together search and rescue leaders, decision-makers, innovators, and frontline responders from across civil, military, humanitarian, maritime, and aeronautical domains. 

With the theme “Adapting to the Challenges of a Changing World,” ISAR 2025 will feature over 30 distinguished speakers and panelists from across the globe, including keynote addresses by Armed Forces chief Gen. Romeo Brawner Jr., and high-level representation from the UAE, Canada, Australia, and the United Kingdom.

The event will explore the future of SAR through the lens of technology, resilience, integration, crisis leadership, AI, and practical coordination. 

Program highlights include:

Day 1 (Aug. 5) – Opening ceremony with military and civic dignitaries; sessions on climate-driven resilience, aeronautical coordination, and community-based disaster volunteerism. 

Day 2 (Aug. 6) – Expert panels on AI in maritime SAR, airline crisis management, urban disaster media strategy, and rescue canines, culminating in leadership strategies from the Philippine Army and high-level medical and operational SAR insights. 

Day 3 (Aug. 7) – Live SAR simulation exercise conducted by the Office of Civil Defense, MCIAA, and the Armed Forces of the Philippines, engaging all key SAR agencies in a full-scale operational deployment.
