Marcos: Coldplay concert 'unmissable'
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, January 23) — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., who calls himself a music lover, said British rock band Coldplay's concert could simply not be missed.
"To have somebody like Coldplay, you cannot miss it. Unmissable dapat 'yun [It should be unmissable]. You cannot miss. It was just fantastic," Marcos told reporters in an ambush interview on Tuesday.
Marcos came under fire for traveling to the venue on a chopper despite its proximity to Metro Manila. His security group also defended the helicopter use, saying "unforeseen traffic complications" posed security risks for the chief executive. https://www.cnnphilippines.com/news/2024/1/20/marcos-chopper-use-coldplay-concert.html
"Ask anybody who attended the concert, ibang klase na. Hindi na 'yung concert na pinupuntahan namin dati. Ngayon iba na. The show they put was spectacular," he added.
