LRT-2, MRT-3 to offer free rides on Dec. 30
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, December 29) â The Light Rail Transit Line 2 (LRT-2) and the Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) will be offering free rides on select hours on Dec. 30, as the country commemorates the death anniversary of Dr. Jose P. Rizal on Saturday.
Commuters for both train lines can avail of the free rides from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m., and from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Rizal Day on Dec. 30 is a regular holiday.
LRT-2 passengers should also expect shorter operating hours on Sunday (Dec. 31), New Year's Eve.
The Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) said the last trip from Antipolo Station will leave at 7 p.m., while that from Recto Station will leave at 7:30 p.m.

Normal operations will resume on Jan. 1 at 5 a.m., the LRTA said.
