Eldrew Yulo secures another bronze at Junior World Championships

Metro Manila, Philippines – Filipino gymnast Karl Eldrew Yulo bagged another bronze medal at the 3rd FIG Artistic Gymnastics Junior World Championships after competing in the horizontal bar finals on Monday, Nov. 24.

Yulo scored 14 points to place third in the horizontal bars event at the Manila Marriott Hotel in Pasay City.

Colombia’s Camilo Vera won with a score of 14.533, while USA’s Danila Leykin was in second place for a 14.233-point showing.

Earlier in the day, Yulo missed the podium in the vault finals as he landed in fourth place. 

Russian gymnast Arsenii Dukhno, who was the all-around world junior champion, clinched the gold medal in vault. Dukhno entered as an Individual Neutral Athlete in the competition.

The young Filipino athlete was the junior Asian champion in vault in 2024. 


Yulo, 17, made his mark on the world stage in this year’s world junior championships. He is the younger brother of two-time Olympic champion Carlos Yulo.
