Metro Manila, Philippines – Boosting its presence in the sports arena, PlayTime Entertainment is the official entertainment partner and season presenter for the National Collegiate Athletic Association of the Philippines (NCAA) Season 102.
With San Beda University as host, the NCAA Season 102 tipped off at the Mall of Asia (MOA) Arena on Sunday, September 13.
PlayTime Entertainment President Roy Alcid said the partnership is a testament to PlayTime’s commitment to youth programs, which fully support the future generation across different industries.
“It’s a milestone for PlayTime as we enter a new space in sports and expand beyond entertainment. It allows us to live out our purpose: Born for Happiness — bringing joy, connection, and shared experiences to a passionate community,” Alcid said in a press release.
Alcid said collaborations with other sectors allow PlayTime to “grow beyond entertainment and into meaningful cultural spaces,” giving access to other audiences such as students, alumni, and sports fans.
Alcid said he is hoping that PlayTime could serve as a bigger stage to showcase athletes’ stories and journeys, and not just their statistics in their chosen sports games.
For her part, PlayTime Entertainment spokesperson Adela Marshall underscored the significance of the partnership, noting that “we believe in the power of sports to create connections and shared experiences.”
“In this season of NCAA, we hope to bring not just brand presence but a sense of sportsmanship and worthwhile experiences,” Marshall said.
“We look forward to being part of the excitement, the competition, and the stories that will unfold throughout the season,” she added.
Meanwhile, Alcid shared that he is excited to see young athletes rise and inspire a new generation, with their fans celebrating with them.
After the opening game on Sunday, the succeeding games will be held on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
