LPG prices down this September

Metro Manila, Philippines – Consumers will pay less this month for liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) by 40 centavos per kilogram, or about ₱4.40 for an 11-kilogram cylinder tank, says the Department of Energy (DOE).

Officials said the international contract price was higher but this was offset by lower freight costs and a slightly stronger peso, bringing down the overall landed cost of LPG.

“For families who rely on LPG to prepare their meals every day, every peso saved can go toward other household needs,” said Energy Secretary Sharon Garin.

The DOE said an 11-kilogram LPG cylinder costs ₱1,031 to ₱1,536 depending on the brand, location, and other market factors.
