Metro Manila, Philippines – Drag Race Philippines has officially introduced the 12 queens competing in Season 4, with the cast making a splash in a “sirena”-inspired reveal that included the late drag performer Misua.
The new season’s cast was unveiled Wednesday, Aug. 26, through an underwater-themed video featuring host Paolo Ballesteros dressed as a siren as he welcomed each contestant into the competition.
The queens joining Season 4 are Maureen Biology, Katana, Ghulli Ghush, Manza, Bombalicious Eklaver, Valeria Ortega, Taylor Sheesh, Dixxxy Decoy, Bhorj Gum, Andy Crocker, Merckz, and Misua.
Season 4 premieres on Sept. 25 on WOW Presents Plus, with new episodes streaming every Friday worldwide.
Misua’s final performance
The cast reveal marks Misua’s first official appearance as a Drag Race Philippines contestant. She died in April.
Misua, whose real name was Jayson Elvie Ty, 27, died in her sleep on April 2 while production for Season 4 was underway. World of Wonder, the production company behind the Drag Race franchise, announced her death and temporarily paused filming to support the cast and crew. A cause of death has not been publicly disclosed.
The production later confirmed that Misua would remain part of Season 4, making the upcoming season her television debut and final performance in the competition.
Drag Race Philippines was renewed for a fourth season following the success of its all-stars spinoff, Drag Race Philippines: Slaysian Royale, where Brigiding was crowned the winner.
The next winner will follow the footsteps of Precious Paula Nicole, Captivating Katkat and Maxie.
