Metro Manila, Philippines – Eastern Communications has received two major recognitions for its workplace and employee engagement initiatives – Asia’s Best Employer Brand Award 2026 at the 21st Employer Branding Awards in Singapore and Excellence in Employee Engagement at the HR Excellence Awards Philippines 2026.
The recognition comes as the company reports a reduction in employee attrition from 13.1 percent in 2022 to 6.9 percent in 2025, reflecting the impact of its employee engagement strategy.
Presented during the 21st Employer Branding Awards at Pan Pacific Marina Square, Singapore on August 3, the Asia’s Best Employer Brand Award 2026 (17th edition) recognizes organizations that have intentionally aligned human resources with business strategy by attracting, developing, and retaining top talent while building future-ready organizations.
Complementing this regional recognition, Eastern Communications was also honored at the HR Excellence Awards Philippines 2026 for Excellence in Employee Engagement. Held on August 6, the award recognizes the company’s innovative and measurable approach to creating meaningful employee experiences that drive engagement, productivity, and long-term retention.
“At Eastern Communications, our people are at the heart of everything we do. These recognitions affirm our belief that empowered employees drive exceptional customer experiences and sustainable business growth,” said Anilene Cometa, head of human resource and organization development.
The company’s engagement approach combines data-driven decision-making with a human-centered culture. Programs such as its Digital Dialogues, Kumustahan Sessions, wellness initiatives, recognition programs, and company-wide engagement activities provide employees with opportunities to connect with leaders, collaborate across teams, and contribute ideas that shape the organization. Where employee feedback contributed to organizational decision-making, Eastern has fostered an environment built on trust, inclusion, and shared accountability.
These efforts have translated into measurable business outcomes. Since launching its enhanced employee engagement strategy, Eastern Communications reduced employee attrition from 13.1 percent in 2022 to 6.9 percent in 2025, significantly outperforming industry benchmarks while strengthening employee satisfaction and organizational commitment. The company also earned Great Place To Work® certification last year, with top employee sentiment scores ranging from 94 percent to 97 percent across workplace safety, fairness, inclusivity, and employee welcome, reflecting the positive workplace culture it has intentionally built.
Beyond the numbers, Eastern Communications has built a workplace where employees help shape the organization’s future. Through accessible leadership, transparent communication, and continuous feedback, the company fosters trust, collaboration, and a culture where every voice matters—driving stronger business performance and long-term resilience.
As Eastern Communications approaches its 150th year of service to the country, these recognitions reinforce that its greatest strength lies not only in connecting businesses and communities through technology, but also in fostering a workplace where people can build meaningful careers, unlock their full potential, and grow together.
