It’s Taco Tuesday somewhere! There’s something so satisfying about a good taco. Whether the fillings are wrapped in a soft flour tortilla or tucked into a crispy shell, each bite bursts with a mix of delicious flavors and unique textures. Rooted in Mexican cuisine, tacos now range from quick fast-food bites to Michelin-selected fine-dining plates.
From traditional Mexican flavors to inventive creations, here are five taco spots to try around the metro:
- La Chinesca
Featuring classic, bold, and unique flavors, La Chinesca has a wide range of items to choose from. Whether you’re craving a classic Carnitas or Chicharrón taco or in the mood for something nontraditional, such as a Salmon Al Pastor or Toro Asada taco, Chef Bruce Ricketts’ fun menu has it all. Whatever you order, you can expect creative, tasty, and filling tacos.
Locations: Makati, Taguig, Parañaque - Cochi Loco
If you’re looking for authentic street-style Mexican tacos, seek out Cochi Loco by Mexican chef Johnny Rodriguez, a.k.a. Chef Cochi. When serving tacos at pop-ups around the city, such as Salcedo Market in Makati, Chef Cochi dons a traditional luchador mask, so you can’t miss him. Cochi Loco fan favorites include Al Pastor and Carne Asada. The taco kitchen also accepts online orders.
Locations: Pop-ups, Online
- Los Tacos MNL
Los Tacos MNL elevates the simple taco to an almost fine-dining level, taking customers on a sophisticated culinary journey through the iconic Mexican dish. Every menu item is made from scratch, especially the corn tortillas, which are freshly prepared and hand-pressed daily. The menu may change, but previous fillings have ranged from Wagyu cheeks to Lengua. Their efforts landed them on the Michelin Bib Gourmand list for 2026.
Locations: Taguig
- Señorito
Served from a stationary taco truck along Katipunan Avenue, Señorito PH is best known for its birria tacos: corn tortillas filled with meat and plenty of melted cheese, pan-fried, then served with a consommé for dipping. The result is a cheesy, salty, unforgettable taco. You can choose from four different fillings, including Beef Birria, Chipotle Chicken, Pork Sisig, and my personal favorite, Fish Tacos.
Locations: Quezon City
- Taqueria Franco
Also included in the Michelin Bib Gourmand selection for 2026, Taqueria Franco is a modern taqueria reimagined by renowned chef Miko Calo. Inspired by French flavors, Taqueria Franco’s creative and fun taco menu, served on buckwheat tortillas, includes a Foie Gras Taco with onion crisps, a Steak Frites Taco, and a Duck Confit Taco with hoisin-mustard sauce.
Location: Makati
Of course, this is only a sampling of the many taco places around Metro Manila worth trying. One thing’s for sure: whether you prefer classic fillings or inventive twists, a great taco is simple, flavorful, and always worth coming back for.
