Metro Manila, Philippines – Business leaders, tech innovators, and members from government agencies gathered to tackle ways to address the challenges of the digital age at the “Future of Trust: A Leaders Forum on Technology and Governance.”
The forum explored how trust is built to improve digital services across government and financial organizations.
“Trust is not someone else’s responsibility, it belongs to all of us. Technology is a neutral tool so it is dependent on the hands that wield it,” Blockchain Council of the Philippines founder Donald Lim said in his opening remarks.
The event highlighted the transformation happening in the government sector with different agencies now actively integrating digital technology into their daily operations.
An example of the digital progress in government is the Integrity Chain, a blockchain-driven initiative focused on transparency. It has completed its initial stage with the Department of Public Works and Highways and is now entering its second phase, proving that blockchain technology is an effective tool against corruption.
The forum also held conversations between local and international visionaries as they discussed ideas and the future of blockchain technology.
The Philippine Blockchain Week 2026, which runs from June 19 to 21 at the SMX Convention Center Manila, will also feature a diverse lineup of live entertainment and interactive activities.
